Ajax Development
What is Ajax?
Some say that Ajax stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. However, according to Jesse James Garret, the guy who coined the phrase, Ajax wasn’t meant to be an acronym and it was only coincidental that those technologies play an integral part in developing with Ajax.
The main purpose of Ajax is to communicate with the Web server without you really being aware it’s happening in order to create Web pages that are more responsive to your requests. Overall, Ajax will just make the user experience a bit more seamless and in some cases just plain cool because developing with it gives flexibility to those Web pages that want to change some of the data or content but without reloading. Ajax is basically a mixture of server technologies like XHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, Java Script and the DOM. You might think Ajax is a new web development technology for developing interactive web applications, but it’s not. Ajax has been around for years and was actually called remote scripting way before the buzzword Ajax came to fruition back in February of 2005. But, since we all are familiar with the word we can run with it.
