Usability
When we take on a new project Usability is one of the most important factors to consider. Usability pertains to your sites layout, the location of elements on the page, the functionality of the progressive enhancements, the design; the sites inherit intuitiveness, and much more. If someone isn’t readily able to locate the sites navigation, for example, this would be classified as a usability issue and would most likely turn potential customers away from your web site. To maintain high traffic pages and low bounce rates we always design simple to use navigation. As well, we code for multiple web browsers which include Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 6.0+. We do this extra coding so that your site looks the same to everyone and is usable across browsers. A large portion of time is spent in the usability & design stage of your new web site or application.
Accessibility
Think of Accessibility as Web wheelchair access. Simply put, web accessibility is the ability to access web content. Whether this means accessible to the disabled, specifically, or if it means accessible to everyone, including the disabled; in either case the accessibility requirement remains the same at Valen Designs. The content must be accessible in a number of testable conditions to verify adherence to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We make it our business to be absolutely sure that your visitor and potential customer immediately feel at home on your site and can get to the content they need.
W3C standards
Last but definitely not least is valid well written W3C standards code. We put the code we develop through a rigorous validation process. Every page is streamlined through code validation software to make absolutely certain it meets the World Wide Web Consortium’s standards for XHTML & CSS markup. We will never create bloated badly written code that could possible run slowly, look different in separate browsers, and/or cost you additional money on your monthly hosting bill due to the extra strain it puts on your server. We write clean lean code that always runs how it was intended too. Feel confident that we have your best interest at heart and only produce products that meet our rigid design standards and practices.
